Year of the Promise/ Covenant:
God made covenants with his people and this year we’ll discover many of His awesome promises we can count on. The children will rotate weekly through different classes to learn about His covenant through Bible Games, Story/food, Craft, movies and science projects.

September: Noah: Rainbow of Promise
“When I see the rainbow in the clouds, I will remember the eternal covenant between God and every living creature on earth.” Genesis 9:16

October: Abraham: Follow the Promise
“Jesus replied, “What is impossible with men is possible with God.” Luke 18:27

November: The Ten Commandments: People of Promise
“Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: ’Love your neighbor as yourself.’ All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.” Matthew 22:37-40

December: Christmas: The Savior God Promised
“For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.” John 3:16

January: John the Baptist: Witness to the Promise
“The fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness faithfulness, gentleness and self-control.” Galatians 5:22, 23a

February: Good Samaritan: A Neighbor’s Promise
“The King will say, ‘I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me.’” Matthew 25:40

March: Easter: The Promise Fulfilled
“He is not here; he has risen!” Luke 24:6

April: The Seven Helpers: The Promise Continues
“Let us work for the good of all.” Galatians 6:10

May: Jesus Grows Up: The Power of the Promise
